Troop Modules are exactly what they say on the tin, a module designed to carry soldiers to guard your airship or attack enemy airships. There are currently four troop modules in the game, three of which providing their own unique units.

Guard Post

Guard Post

An air marine keeps watch here, deterring intruders.

Guard Posts are 1X1 modules that allow players to garrison a single air marine in the module. These can be quite effective when placed near crucial parts of the ship, such as the bridge or cargo hatch.
Note: Do not think of this as a miniature barracks. These do not actually add a guard. These just tell someone from a barracks to stand at this location. If no barracks exists, the Guard Post will remain empty.

Marine Barracks

Barracks

Houses eight air marines ready to board enemy ships or defend your own.

The Marine Barracks are 3X2 modules that give players access to eight air marines- soldiers that can board enemy ships or defend against other air marines. They will either spawn at their barracks or at critical parts of the ships, such as weapon modules, bridges, and suspendium chambers. These soldiers are crucial in defending a ship, because if it's captured it will fall to the enemy!

Grenadier Barracks

Grenadier Barracks

Houses four elite Grenadiers with grappling hooks for rapidly boarding enemy ships.

The Grenadier's grappling hook allow them to board ships from much further away, giving them a leg up over other ships! They're also much more dangerous than standard marines, although they are much more pricey.

Guard Barracks

Guard Barracks

Quarters for four guards to protect the ship or building.

The Guard Barracks is the only troop module able to placed in a building. Guards are cheap, expendable, and plentiful, but are unfortunately unable to board enemy ships, being used solely as defenders.
